Static-X - The Only

Static-X is an American industrial metal band from Los Angeles, California. They were formed in 1994. They are signed to Warner Bros. Records and have released six albums, their most recent being Cult of Static, which was released on March 17, 2009.

"The Only" is the first single from the third album, Shadow Zone. The song features distinctly less staccato and more melodic instrumentation and vocal delivery than previous Static-X songs. During the song, references are made that can be connected to the book 1984 by George Orwell, with lyrics describing the struggle of the main character Winston Smith.

Enjoy.
